TIME SAVING TIPS FOR TPT SELLERS
I recently discovered Flat Pack for PowerPoint and let me tell you…. it’s a GAME CHANGER. Flat Pack is an extension for PowerPoint that allows you to create products and flatten them all in the same document. Gone are the days of saving every slide as a PNG image and pasting it into the background. Since I purchased Flat Pack I’ve saved so much time creating products. On average, I save anywhere between 30-40 minutes in the creation process per product by using Flat Pack. As I said before, it is the ultimate game changer for me on my TPT journey.
I am not paid to promote Flat Pack in any way. I just love using it and wanted to share it with you all. Flat Pack is a one time purchase and is totally worth the money, especially if you are fully invested in creating products to sell in your TPT store. In this blog, I will give you a quick tutorial of Flat Pack and how to use it for PowerPoint and add the link below for you to purchase it for yourself!
USING FLAT PACK FOR POWERPOINT
Before you can use Flat Pack you will need to install it following the directions provided when you download the product. Once Flat Pack has been installed, it will appear on the top navigation bar in PowerPoint. To use Flat Pack, start by designing your product. Be sure to add all parts of your product to the slide (flattened items and moveable pieces). Once you’ve designed your product to your liking, you will need to select all of the elements on the slide that you DO NOT want to be flattened. Once selected, you will go to the Flat Pack option in the navigation bar and select the checkbox next to Do no flatten. Repeat this step for each slide.
Once you have selected all the elements in your product that you do not want to flatten, go back to Flat Pack in the navigation bar, and select either Create PPT or Create PDF (select the appropriate option based on the product you are creating). That’s it! You now have a finished, secured product that is ready to go! You can find your finished document in the Flat Pack - Secured Files folder on your computer. To find the Flat Pack - Secured Files folder, go to Finder>Documents>Flat Pack - Secured Files. You can move the document to another folder on your computer. Be sure to save the original document as a template. This will be your document that you can go back to in case you need to make changes.
Flat Pack works well when you partner it with Adobe Acrobat (see my post about using Adobe Acrobat for Teachers Pay Teachers). Flat Pack allows you to flatten your digital and printable products in seconds. Since purchasing Flat Pack for PowerPoint, I’ve been able to create 2-4 products in a weekend!
