USING CANVA PRO FOR TPT SELLERS

Canva is a graphic design program that allows anyone to make professional graphics without any graphic design experience. I love using Canva to create graphics for social media, my Teachers Pay Teachers store and my website (check out the graphic to the left made with Canva). I’ve known about Canva for many years but never had a need to dive into it until I decided to start my TPT journey.

I recently made the switch from Canva’s free version to the Pro version, which allows me to access more features that help take my design game to a whole new level. I am not paid to promote Canva Pro. I simply love using it and wanted to share some of things I love most about Canva Pro with you. In this blog post, I will talk a little bit about some of my favorite features of Canva Pro.

IMPORTING FONTS & COLORS FOR BRANDING TO CANVA

Canva comes with a long list of amazing fonts for anyone to choose from to get started. I love using Canva’s endless fonts to create cover and thumbnail images for TPT, Pinterest pins, and social media posts. Canva’s free option allows you to use any of the preloaded fonts but Canva Pro allows users to import fonts into the program, allowing users to add fonts to match your branding. I added a few purchased fonts into the program and they are my go to fonts for creating all things The TEACHer Mindset. Check out some of my TPT cover images that I created using imported fonts in Canva Pro.

USING CANVA PHOTOS & MEDIA FOR GRAPHIC DESIGNS

Canva offers users a library of stock photos to take your designs to the next level. Users can use these photos to create an unlimited amount of designs. I love using Canva’s images to create TPT cover and thumbnail images, Pinterest pins, and social media posts. I also love using gifs in Canva to create fun posts for social media. I even use Canva Pro’s audio library to add audio to my video previews for Teachers Pay Teachers. While some of these features are offered in Canva’s free subscription, the options are very limited. Accessing photos offered in Canva Pro would cost users $1 per image. I love using real stock photos of laptops, cell phones and computers to bring my digital products to life. I couple Canva’s photos and my video recordings together to create the perfect video preview to complement my products to increase my store traffic and conversion rates. Check out a sample video preview of one of my products using Canva Pro’s photos and media.

SCHEDULING SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS IN CANVA PRO

Another feature that I love to use in Canva Pro is the content planner. Canva Pro allows you to create content for social media and schedule the content to post on your various social media accounts. Canva Pro allows users to connect Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack and Tumblr accounts with your Canva Pro account and allows users to schedule content from the platform to post directly to these accounts. Posting to social media is simple when using Canva Pro.

Before I began using Canva Pro, I would create my Pinterest pins in PowerPoint, save the images, airdrop files from my computer to my phone, and schedule posts in the Pinterest app on my phone. With Instagram posts, I would do the same process but save the posts as drafts and add a calendar reminder in my phone to go back and post the drafted Instagram post on the date and time that I wanted it to go out. Now with Canva Pro’s content planner, everything can be created and scheduled all in one place.

UNLIMITED FOLDER ORGANIZATION IN CANVA PRO

Three things I love about Canva Pro…. organization, organization, organization! Canva Pro allows users to have access to create unlimited amount of folders to organize your content. I personally have over 15 folders to organize social media content, blog and website content, and TPT content. Creating folders has helped me to organize like content in a way that’s manageable. It’s one of the main features that helped me to make the decision to switch from Canva’s free subscription to Canva Pro.

All in all, I love using Canva Pro and it’s money well spent. If you’re on the fence about making the switch to Canva Pro, I hope this blog post helped you to get more information. If you like this content or have any other questions about Canva Pro features, be sure to leave a comment below.
